Programme: D Programming Language

Game play: Usage of keyboard keys for movement and firing at enemy spaceships. Simple enough for player to understand. User friendly.

Core Mechanics:

Precision: The player has to be accurate in destroying the enemy spaceships.

Time: Time is a crucial factor in Torus trooper as player has to race against time in destroying the enemy spaceships. Player gets bonus time when enemy spaceship is destroyed.

Pure Speed: Player has to fast enough in destroying the enemy spaceships. Or else player’s spaceship gets destroyed.

Avoidance: Player has to prevent his spaceship from being hit by the laser shots of the enemy spaceships. This leads to the destruction of the player’s spaceship.

Risk Vs Rewards: Bonus items given for more firing power in midst of attacking enemy spaceships.



My Review

Torus Trooper is an Indie game that consists of a twirling track whereby a fighter spaceship runs through the track. The objective of the game is to destroy enemy spaceships and at the end defeat a enemy boss spaceship. Torus trooper is meant for audience who can bear high visual graphics. The player has to know which direction he or she is heading towards, if not the player will be made to slow down and be destroyed instead of destroying enemy spaceship.
